The Garden Club is hosting a work party Saturday, November 8, to remove invasive brush around the vernal pool at Wadsworth Mansion.This woodland setting provides a good demonstration garden for the citizens of Middletown to learn about native herbaceous perennials, shrubs and trees that are appropriate for a naturalistic setting. It also supports wildlife. The work will involve lots of clipping, hacking and hauling but we will have some help with any heavy work. Bring gloves, clippers, shears, shovels and be sure to wear boots!
